New Orvis Battenkill Click – Some can handle it with a drag system, but some prefer to hold a rushing fish in the palm of their hand—exactly why Orvis will always offer click-and-pawl fly reels. With design improvements, the Battenkill reel offers reliability and a working nature that we haven't changed—those aspects are non-negotiable. Instead, the team worked to tighten tolerances for even smoother operation and updated aspects of the design such as improved feel in the hand, a curved reel foot that won't leader twist, and new subdued colors that complement the aesthetics of all Orvis fly rods. Each reel is built from 6061-T6 aircraft aluminum with an ergonomic Delrin® handle, and it's easy to change from left to right crank. Standard reel with a port design that pays homage to Battenkill reels of yesteryear. A true modern classic.
